SYNOPSIS

The film centers on Saint Laurent's life from 1967 to 1976. As one of History's greatest fashion designers entered a decade of freedom, neither came out of it in one piece.

Bertrand Bonello

Bertrand Bonello, born in 1968, lives between Paris and Montréal. He came to cinema via music. His first feature film, Something Organic (1998), was presented at the Berlin Festival (Panorama). The Pornographer (2001), his second feature along with Jean-Pierre Léaud, was selected for International Critics’ Week at Cannes and won the FIPRESCI prize. Bertrand Bonello imposes his singular voice and world with Tiresia (2003), in Competition at the Festival de Cannes. He continues making music and, in 2007, releases My New Picture: an album to accompany a film presented at the Locarno Festival. In 2008, On War, a feature starring Mathieu Amalric, Asia Argento and Guillaume Depardieu was selected for the Directors’ Fortnight.
