        • SYNOPSIS

A mother and her son – they had to be separated for many years because of an event that occurred during the son’s youth. The mother is an artist with powers of healing. The boy grows up to become a falconer. A reporter comes looking for him one day, and the journalist’s appearance leads to the reunion of mother and son. Aloft is an original story full of mystery that centers on these three characters and moves back and forth in time. The revelation that comes at the end resonates all the more because little is explained as the story unfolds in its mystic aura. Each character’s story is told independently, and slowly unveils to bring us to their past.

          Critique

Aloft is a meditative, thoughtful film, that wants to glide like a hawk into the sky and inspire us to wonder…
