        • SYNOPSIS

          Jorge, a quiet, unassuming family man, suffers escalating taunts by a street thug named Kalule and his posse until one day they assault him. But Jorge remains passive; it’s his son who confronts the thugs – and gets seriously wounded. Kalule is convicted and sent to prison. Fast forward to two years later: Jorge’s marriage has fallen apart and Kalule is back to terrorize his family.

          Alejandro Fernández Almendras

           

          Born in 1971, Chielan director Alejandro Fernández Almendras first sudied journalism at the University of Chile and later, filmmaking in New York. He works as a film critic and photographer, shoots music videos, and has also been making short films since 2006. To Kill a Man is his third feature film after Huacho (Semaine dela cirtique, 2009 Festival de Cannes) and Sentados frente al fuego (2011).
