      SERBIAN FILM JURY

       

      Miljenko Jergović / Jury President

      Miljenko Jergović is a journalist and a writer. Jergović received his M.A. in literature from the Sarajevo University. While at high-school, he started working as a journalist in print and electronic media, as a contributor to literary and youth magazines, and was soon recognized as Croatian media correspondent from Sarajevo. Jergović is one of the most widely read and translated writers of the younger generation in the South Slav region. Praised or criticized, Jergović is undoubtedly one of the most important contemporary writers in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has received numerous literary awards, both domestic and foreign.

       

      Anamaria Marinca

      Anamaria Marinca studied at the University of Fine Arts, Music and Drama, George Enescu. Her work in theatre has included productions in Romania, France and the UK. She first came to public attention in 2005 when she received BAFTA for Best Actress for her performance in the TV mini-series Sex Traffic. She was cast by Cristian Mungiu as the lead in his Golden Palm-winning drama 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, which was her cinema acting debut. Also, she worked with Francis Ford Coppola on Youth Without Youth in 2007.

       

      Oleg Novković

      Oleg Novković began his film career in 1993 as a director of Say Why Have You Left Me. His film White, White World won more than twenty awards on the festivals around the world and among them Golden Leopard for Best Actress in Locarno and Grand Prix for Best Film in Cottbus. European Film Academy included this film among 45 best titles in 2011. Film Tomorrow Morning and Normal People also had significant success in the world, at first place on film festivals.

       

      Torsten Neumann

      Torsten Neumann lives in Berlin since 1989, where he worked as a freelance journalist specialized on film. In 1994 he was the co-founder of the Oldenburg International Film Festival and since then he successfully serves as the head of the festival. In 2001 Neumann produced the compilation film 99euro-films, with the most acclaimed German directors like Esther Gronenborn, and Matthias Glasner. Since 1999 Neumann is also co-owner of the Berlin based distribution company Independent Partners and has successfully released independent films.

       

      Predrag Gaga Antonijević

      Predrag Gaga Antonijević graduated film directing at Faculty for Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. After several short, documentary and TV film, in 1984 he directs and writes his debutant feature film, O pokojniku sve najlepše. The same year he receives UNICEF award at Venice Film Festival. With The Little One he won many awards. In production of Oliver Stone he directs Savior. Later, he also directed Hard Ca$h, Little Murder and Breaking at the Edge in the United States.
